Sadowsky MasterBuilt 21-Fret Vintage J/J Bass
The Sadowsky MasterBuilt 21-Fret Vintage J/J bass has a great vintage vibe! Thanks to the famous Sadowsky electronics, you get a vintage-looking bass with that special Sadowsky tone: Never harsh or shrill sounding, with strong, powerful (but never muddy!) bass, mids that are present while not too aggressive, and a sweet and airy treble range. This 5-string left-hand fretless version has a sleek, undersized J-Style body made of American Swamp Ash that is finished in Ocean Blue Transparent Satin. The satin-finished neck is made of Roasted American Maple and has a Roasted American Maple fingerboard. Special features of this bass include two hum-cancelling Sadowsky J-Style pickups, active electronics with true bypass, treble and bass boost and Vintage Tone Control. It also features light open gear Sadowsky tuners and a Sadowsky Quick String Release Bridge. Made exclusively in our workshop in Germany, this bass weighs never more than 8.4 lbs (3.8 kg). A great choice for bass players looking for a vintage style in a light weight bass with a modern bass sound.
Construction
Body
The chambered Swamp Ash body is known for is bright, clear tone. We select the best American Swamp Ash for its unique resonant tonal qualities and striking grain patterns. Giving you a Sadowsky bass that both looks and sounds beautiful. For players who prefer a lighter bass.
Neck
A roasted maple neck featuring a double action truss rod for precise neck adjustment and two carbon fibre rods to reinforce the neck and maintain stability.
Fingerboard
The Tigerstripe Ebony fingerboards on our MasterBuilt basses offer a brightness that is in-between Maple and Morado, but with more immediate attack and fundamental tones that are both strong and focused.
