Sadowsky MetroLine 21-Fret Vintage M Bass
Roger Sadowsky's goal was always to further improve an already very successful bass design by making a number of detailed improvements. Along with the electronics, which he developed by himself, he succeeded to raise the well-known vintage M bass sound to a new level, so today you can speak of a typical Sadowsky tone: Never harsh or shrill sounding, with strong, powerful but never muddy bass, with present, but not too aggressive mids, and a sweet and airy treble range. This modern bass sound can also be found in the Sadowsky MetroLine 21-Fret Vintage M Bass line of basses. This 4-string bass, seen here in a Solid Dark Lake Placid Blue Metallic High Polish finish, features a sleek, undersized, chambered J-Style body made from American Red Alder. The neck is made of American Maple and features a Morado (Pau Ferro) fingerboard. Special features of this bass include a Sadowsky M pickup, active electronics with true bypass, Vintage Tone Control, treble and bass boost, and a 3-way toggle switch for humbucker pickup configuration (series / parallel / single coil). This bass also features light open gear Sadowsky tuners and the Sadowsky Quick String Release Bridge. Sadowsky MetroLine 21-Fret Vintage M basses are made exclusively in Germany. The weight of this bass is never more than 8.9 lbs (4.0 kg). A good choice for players who want a lightweight bass that offers a modern bass sound.
