Roger Sadowsky's goal was always to further improve an already very successful bass design by making a number of detailed improvements. Along with the electronics, which he developed by himself, he succeeded to raise the well-known P/J bass sound to a new level, so today you can speak of a typical Sadowsky tone: Never harsh or shrill sounding, with strong, powerful but never muddy bass, with present, but not too aggressive mids, and a sweet and airy treble range. This modern bass sound can also be found in the Sadowsky MetroLine 21-Fret Hybrid P/J Solidbody line of basses. This 4-string solidbody bass, seen here in an Ocean Blue Transparent Satin finish, features a P-Style body made of solid American Swamp Ash.The neck is made of Maple and features a Maple fingerboard. Special features of this bass include Sadowsky P and J pickups, active electronics with true bypass, Vintage Tone Control, treble and bass boost. This bass also features light open gear Sadowsky tuners and the Sadowsky Quick String Release Bridge. Sadowsky MetroLine 21-Fret Hybrid P/J Solidbody basses are made exclusively in Germany. The weight of this bass is never more than 8.9 lbs (4.0 kg). A good choice for players who want a lightweight bass that offers a modern bass sound.

The solid Swamp Ash body is known for is bright, clear tone. We select the best American Swamp Ash for its unique resonant tonal qualities and striking grain patterns. Giving you a Sadowsky bass that both looks and sounds beautiful. For players who prefer a more traditional, heavier bass.

A maple neck featuring a double action truss rod for precise neck adjustment and two carbon fibre rods to reinforce the neck and maintain stability.
