The musician names Earl Klugh, Bob James and James Jamerson as his most important idols in music. Al Turner's powerful bass lines can be heard on recordings by Aretha Franklin, Oleta Adams, Anita Baker, Nancy Wilson, Randy Crawford, Gladys Knight, Bob James, Earl Klugh, Ron Isley, Kem and Patti LaBelle - and this list is no more than the tip of the iceberg!
