The Sadowsky 21-Fret Verdine White Artist Line bass pays homage to one of the world's best bass players! Featuring a chambered American Red Alder body, a Roasted American Maple neck with a Tigerstripe Ebony fingerboard and the famous Sadowsky electronics, you get a bass with that special Sadowsky tone: Never harsh or shrill sounding, with strong, powerful (but never muddy!) bass, mids that are present while not too aggressive, and a sweet and airy treble range. This 4-string fretless left-hand version has a P-style body that is finished in a Solid Firemist Gold Metallic Satin finish. Special features include a passive Sadowsky P-style pickup at the neck and a hum-cancelling Sadowsky J-Style pickup at the bridge. The active electronics give you true bypass, treble and bass boost and Vintage Tone Control. It also features light open gear Sadowsky tuners and a Sadowsky Quick String Release Bridge. Made exclusively in our workshop in Germany, a Sadowsky MasterBuilt Verdine White Artist Line bass weighs never more than 8.4 lbs (3.8 kg).
Construction
Body
The chambered Red Alder body offers you balanced, rounded and full-bodied tones with strong mids, and a warmer sound compared to Swamp Ash. Our workshop sources the best American Red Alder and specially chambers each body to reduce weight without sacrificing the tonal qualities.
Neck
A roasted maple neck featuring a double action truss rod for precise neck adjustment and two carbon fibre rods to reinforce the neck and maintain stability.
Fingerboard
The Tigerstripe Ebony fingerboards on our MasterBuilt basses offer a brightness that is in-between Maple and Morado, but with more immediate attack and fundamental tones that are both strong and focused.
